2006 Stohr WF1

May 14, 2025ClassifiedEdward Hinsa

After 50 years of racing, primarily SCCA, I have finally given in to my wife’s wishes and have retired from wheel to wheel racing as of January 1, 2024 at the age of 74. Because of this decision I will be selling my 2006 Stohr WF1 P1 per the attached spreadsheet. I have been totally transparent in how I arrived at a price for the car and spare parts (spare parts NOT junk parts). If you have an interest in the car or know of someone who might please contact me. I have a LONG list of people I have sold my many race cars to over the years who I would be glad to have you contact if you would like.

1966 Austin Healy 3000 Mark 3

November 26, 2024ClassifiedEdward Hinsa

1966 Austin Healy 3000, Mark 3.

On and off this car has been associated with VSCDA for almost 20 years. It has an annual tech sticker as of the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival in 2024. It is a very fun right hand drive car with the 3.5 aluminum V-8 Rover/Buick motor and a T-10 4 speed transmission. The car is pretty well sorted and ready to race. I have extensive documentation. There is only 1 race weekend on a fresh build. I started and will stay in Formula Vees.

1974 Triumph TR6

April 8, 2024ClassifiedEdward Hinsa

1974 Triumph TR6

Triumph TR6 cars have had a strong competition history starting with a car built by Group 44, then a competition arm of the American division of British Leyland, manufacturer of the Triumph TR6.

A TR6 Driven by group 44 president and pro driver John McComb, and Bob Tulius, earned invitations to the SCCA National Championship in 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1975 winning ‘D’ production National Championship in 1975. Famous actor, Paul Newman, won the National Championship SCCA in 1976 driving a TR6.

1974 Triumph TR6

This Triumph TR6 was sold new in Greenville, SC and has a fully documented history since. It has had only 4 owners in the last 47 years that dutifully maintained and enhanced this Mallard Green Triumph. The 3rd owner had the motor rebuilt with performance upgrades including twin Weber carbs and mild street cam. The 4th and current owner purchased the TR6 from Northshore Sportscars in 2014 because he was impressed with the looks and strong performance. A year or so later he became interested in vintage racing after attending one of our race dates and the rest is history as the saying goes. The transition from street car to full vintage race prep proceeded over a few Winters work. All of the required safety components are in place including Fuel Safe fuel, cell, Firecharger onboard fire system, Corbeau race seat, 6 point harness, catch tanks, and cutoff switches.  The upgrades are quite numerous but are not limited to the following list:

-Sam Halkias built motor with race cam and roller rockers

-5 Speed trans conversion

-Wilwood 4 wheel slotted disc brakes

-Triple Weber carbs

-Aluminum radiator

-Oil cooler

-16 inch Panasport racing wheels

-Transponder

-Limited slip differential

-Aluminum flywheel and harmonic balancer

-Koni adjustable shocks

-Front and rear oversize sway bars

The car comes with a VSCDA logbook and a great spares package.

4 Vintage Cheviot Racing Wheels with 4 HOOSIER TD R Tires 25.5×8.0-15

February 22, 2022ClassifiedEdward Hinsa
4 Vintage Cheviot Racing Wheels made in New Zealand with 4 HOOSIER TD R Tires 25.5×8.0-15
Description:*   Wheels were made in New Zealand and are very similar to Minilites
*   These are MODSPORT
*   Manufactured by AUTO-SPORT Wheels, New Zealand
*   Made by CHEVIOT, Model: 6JJX15, 4M1J
*   Size 15 X 6
*   Each wheel has it’s own casting number #52, #47, #51, #34
*   The tires are 1 year old and used on 3 weekends
*   3.75 Back Spacing
*   Bolt Pattern:
*   5×4.75 (5×120.65mm)
*   Center Caps not included
*   Works on most 15″ Jaguar E-Types, Triumph TR6, Chevy, Olds, Pontiacs, Buicks, and many others

Great wheels, loved them.  Been racing with them for a decade.  Over the Winter, I flared my fenders and am going with 15×8 inch wheels and Goodyear Blue Streaks 15 X 6.00. (10″ width).  These wheels are ready to use, in excellent condition.  Tires have plenty of practice laps still on them.  Shipping is expensive, so I’m looking for pickup in St. Louis, Missouri or I could drop off when racing at various tracks or buyer can arrange for pickup.  My tentative schedule for 2022 looks like this:

*   May–Possibly Gingerman and/or Indianapolis Motor Speedway
*   June 17-19  Blackhawk Farms Raceway, possibly Indianapolis Motorspeedway
*   June 25-26  Ozark International Raceway
*   July  14-17  Road America
*   Sept 16-19  Road America
