Join VSCDA, CVAR and RMVR at this four-day event as we make history! Thunder in the Ozarks combines three of the premiere vintage racing clubs to present the 1st Annual Vintage Road Racing Championship at Ozarks International Raceway. We bring back the original nostalgia of drivers coming together to celebrate their cars and driving expertise as they compete wheel to wheel to be named CHAMPION. The COMPASS CUP, a traveling trophy symbolizing the multi-state collaboration will be presented to the most successful club during the event.
In the true "spirit of vintage racing", friendly competition, unwavering respect, and above all, a commitment to safety, we are bringing everyone together to preserve, promote, and elevate vintage racing to new heights. We're not just in competition against each other; we're racing for the future of this incredible sport and our clubs. Thunder in the Ozarks continues the tradition of offering the best value in vintage racing with the most track time and competitive race groups. This world class track located in the heart of the Ozarks features 3.97 miles of paved road-course racing with 19 turns and 1,200 feet elevation change in a single lap. This is a technical track that will take a bit of time to master. So, we have planned this event to maximize track time for all.
Our 4-day event feature the most track time of any vintage race in the country, starting off with a full day Test and Tune on Thursday and cumulating with four (4) wheel to wheel races held on Saturday and Sunday.
The friendships you build with your fellow racers is as important as racing itself. There is catered dinner at the track both Friday and Saturday evening. The dinners will be held in the garages so everyone will have a chance to tell their embellished stories.
During the day, food will be available from a variety of food trucks offering something for everyone.
There is plenty of paved parking in the paddock areas and a limited number of garages are available to rent.

Cancellation Refund Policy: A full refund of the entry fee will be issued before October 3, 2024. A partial refund (entry fee - $50.00 service fee) will be issued until the opening of registration Thursday p.m. No refunds for cancellations will be made once a car’s tire has made contact with the racetrack.
