SEPTEMBER 16-18, 2022

ROAD AMERICA

N7390 STATE HWY 67

PLYMOUTH, WI  53073

Join Competitors from across the globe as VSCDA celebrates 36 years of racing at Road America. VSCDA is proud to be the first vintage racing club to present a weekend honoring women in motorsports. The tribute will begin Friday night at the Road America Center with a social gathering (light meal) and the opportunity to meet and greet some of the most honored women in racing, including Lyn St. James, Cindi Lux and Victoria Thomas. In addition to our usual ample track time and specialty races, Saturday will include a women’s feature race, followed with a wine reception--open to all--recognizing the women of motorsports at the track. At the banquet at the Road America Tufte Center, a panel of women leaders in motorsports will discuss what it took to succeed, how to provide more opportunity for women in motorsports and answer questions.

Registration and Tech open at 2 PM Thursday. Friday is a practice day with each group getting almost two hours of practice. Our traditional enduro benefiting Disabled American Veterans will be held Friday afternoon. Lunchtime touring this year will have an added feature, charity rides with some of the most revered women in racing.

Once again, we will have our customer-friendly express Tech for drivers with an annual VSCDA Tech.

The Cup races will continue and now include open-wheel groups. 2022 will be the 13th year for the Cup races: Kimberly, Sheldon, and Elkhart Lake. They are based on the original Cup 1950-1952 races held on the roads of Elkhart Lake. In addition to added track time, the Cup races provide the opportunity to race against cars from different groups.

Saturday, we have Qualifying Sessions and Sprint Races. You or your guests might want to participate in the Mike and Deb Korneli Road Course Re-enactment. This is a police-escorted tour of the original Elkhart Lake 1950-1952 public road race course. Race cars, street cars and motorcycles are invited. The original Elkhart Lake street race course and the equivalent at Watkins Glen are the only street race courses on the national register of historic places. VSCDA has been doing the re-enactment for 30 years and it often attracts 100 cars. This year the re-enactment will finish at Road America and the cars will park by the Concours d ’Elegance, which will be at the track this year. Register here to join: Road Course Re-enactment Registration

A newly added event is Canvas and Coffee on Saturday morning (10:00 AM) for anyone needing a break from racing who would like to paint while having coffee. Hosted by our own Chris Bonk’s Bottles and Bottega, you must register for this event. The cost is $35 and you can add it to your event registration or see us at registration.

The Saturday evening banquet will be held at the Tufte Center, a banquet hall under the Paddock Shop. As mentioned above, the dinner will feature a panel discussion on Women in Motorsports by our honored guests. There will be ample time for Q&A. Sign up for the banquet when registering. Seating is limited.

Sunday morning starts with the Cup races. Group races will be mixed in throughout the day. Lunchtime touring, along with celebrity charity rides, will be available for spectators. Our weekend will provide something for everyone, both on and off the track. VSCDA is delighted to bring you the best value in vintage racing, at Road America, the national park of speed. Put it on your calendar!
